How can I get more volume in my hair?

I used one of those round barrel brush things but it doesn't really seem to work : )

How can I get more volume in my hair?

Get highlights or lowlights: Aside from the fact that hair usually has more body when it's colored, sometimes "lift," or hair volume, is more of an impression, and that's where what's known as dimensional hair color comes in. When hair is monochromatic, it appears flatter. When you add color dimensions to hair, says Louis Vi鑼卨, color director at Miano Vi鑼卨, it gives the perception of lift. As with an optical illusion, your eyes perceive movement, even where it might not exist.

there is stuff that Big and Sexy makes, in a red can, called Volume Maximizer... after you wash and towel dry ur hair, you put it in at the roots THEN dry with a round brush and ta-da! (=

After towel drying your hair, put a bit of hair gel and run in your palms. Then finger through hair. I always add a drop of hair shining products in, too. Then blow dry with your round brush to see better results.

tease it and blowdry the opposite direction .. it works for me

How does randy orton do his hair?

does he uses gel a brush ?

How does randy orton do his hair?

Well I can relate as we both use the same process to comb our hair, but in different styles.

1. We wet our hair

2. We add a little hair gel to our hands, spread it all over our hands

3. Apply it to our entire set of hair

4. Use a comb/brush to style our hair in the desired style.

My hair and products. Please read, hair people.?

I have layered dark brown hair and side bangs. My hair goes a little bit past my shoulders. It is straight, well kinda with maybe a little tiny wave in it. I have to wash it everyday, seriously, or it gets MAJORLYYYY greasy if I skip a day. Throughout the day my hair gets very frizzy, staticky, and very greasy at the top. I am currently using Herbal Essence Dangerously Straight Shampoo and no conditioner because conditioner makes it way greasier. I don't use like hairspray or gel, only shampoo. I barely touch my hair or brush it, only when necessary. I sometimes straighten it, but only sometimes. Can anyone suggest any products or techniques or something? ALL answers are accepted, Thanks!

my advise for frizzy hair: sunsilk 24/7 creme, in green (anti-frizz) if you don't glop it on, which you should never do no matter what you use, it will work like a charm. no frizz, all gone! i just got a free sample. you could try their website, just google sunsilk. otherwise, for straightening hair, to reduce the kinda frizzy look (at least my hair gets these hairs that stick out when i straighten it, usually the shorter hairs) i use the herbal essences dangerously straight spray. it makes my hair soft too, but too much will make hair stickyish. no hairspray. i dont use it either, cause it can make hair sticky, or makes your hair like a shell : (

If you have to wash your hair everyday, then only shampoo your roots and condition your ends to help balance out the moisture.

Blow dry medium, not hot. Try velcro rollers for body. Try a little bit of mousse to add texture.

If you are using straightening shampoo, then it likely has an additive that is weighing your hair down and adding oil. Try using a clarifying shampoo and conditioner one week and then a shampoo and conditioner for oily hair the other week. Keep alternating.

Wash your brush once a week.

Try Infusium 23, La Coupe, Marc Anthony, Got2B - all available from Wal-mart.

I have rather thick and unruly hair which I always put up in a pony. Is there anything else I can do

So I put my hair up every morning before school (I'm 17 and a senior in high school) for two reasons: 1) I have a scooter and even though I wear a helmet, my hair stills gets blown around quite a bit and gets all tangled up if I leave it down, and 2) it's an unruly mess if I don't.

I have tried to keep it down for a few periods in the past, but to no avail. I'll arrive in, say, precalc with my hair down, brush it out to make sure there are no tangles and it's the way I want it, and then I'll proceed to sit, do a few problems, maybe take notes, and then talk to my friend or listen to my zune (mp3 player). By the time class is over and the bell has rung (1 hour later), my hair has mysteriously become extremely tangled up and slightly poofy. Hell, I haven't even left my seat and my hair decides to screw up on me! So I then brush it out with my fingers, curse it, and then put it up never to let it down again (it's usually up at home, too).

Help! What can I do about this unruly mess?!

i have the same problem now too.

Try cutting your hair just below shoulder length. That is what i did and it actually worked its not a frizzy tangled mess anymore.

Even though i still keep it in a pony most of the time if i let it down it actually doesnt look like i havent brushed my hair that morning.

Mayb try a anti-frizz smoother in your hair, I have thick hair and thats what i use. I also got my hair thinned out, and now i have it layered all over seems to work alot better for me, good luck.

wow, um, first off, you look really good. and secondly, why don't you try straightening it and putting it in a french twist (or some other style). my friends actually did that to me (the french twist) today in class. (also a senior, but i'm 18) i have a lot of body to my hair, so straightening it usually fixes all that.

How to brush a wig?

I got a wig for my daughters costume. It is a shorthaired black wig (snow white). It looked great on the package. Nice and tame. When I pulled it out of the bag it is frizzed and I can't even find where the front it. (the bangs are just a bit shorter then the back of the hair.) Does anyone know how to make it look like hair. To brush it?

How to brush a wig?

i would soak it in warm dish water then pull it out after ten min then add conditioner from root to end and place it on something in the shape of a head and get a wide tooth comb and start from the bottom of the hair to the top gently combing it and let it air dry with curlers on all the ends place so the curls go inward

How to brush a wig?

brush it like normal hair Do it !

How to brush a wig?

Just use your hand first to figure out how should you brush it with a comb. Have fun!

How to brush a wig?

gently

How to brush a wig?

it's probably a cheap synthetic material, so don't use too much force when brushing it. put it on her head, and then use your fingers to put the style you want into it. then just hairspray it. that way, you know what it looks like when she wears it. good luck!

How to brush a wig?

i watch my mom brush hers... you have to hold the wig by the base so not much hair falls out and gently brush the top and gradually start working down

Highlighting my Hair?

I've been highlighting my hair along with my friends and family's hair for several years now. I've probably done it a million times but for some reason I always forget if I'm supposed to part the hair like I do when I style it or if I'm supposed to brush it straight back. I usually get the highlighting kits so I can just look at the directions and it tells me but this time I just bought a really big container of powder and then a really big bottle of the activator at Sally's so I don't have any directions. I'm using a cap. I don't know why I always forget. So can anyone tell me if I'm supposed to part my hair or brush it straight back?

Highlighting my Hair?

if you're using a cap, it doesn't matter. they're going to be sparatic anyways.

Highlighting my Hair?

I purchase my hair products the same way. I use quick white with volume 40 which is not the best for every one. My hair is naturally dark and I bleach it to an almost white blond. I don't part my hair or comb it back. You actually shouldn't comb your hair before you put those types of products on your hair because it could lead to scabbing on your scalp. It opens your scalp up. Makes your scalp more susceptible to a break out or a reaction.

You can try eBay. A lot of stores don't carry it anymore. It can cause split ends and tangles out of this world.
