My hair has thinned out considerably recently with some receding of the hairline, I panicked and searched the web and found this article.

Can this be possible? I never ever brush my hair and I just recently grew it out long, and this article says not brushing can cause lack of blood flow to the scalp that causes the hair to fall out.
Is this right?

Can brushing my hair help it grow thicker?
yes it could,it massages your scalp that make you hair grows better.
Can brushing my hair help it grow thicker?
Not true.
Everyone looses a hundred hairs a day, brushing simply removes hair that's already dead at the roots, and cant kill the roots.
But vigorous brushing will damage the body of the hair.
Best thing to do, instead of brushing, is to massage your scalp, using your finger tips, not nails, for 10min everyday.
Remember, hair grows slowly, so you'll only see results after a month or two.
Thinning and receding hair is also common in women and is caused by genetics (like balding men)
Despite all the miracle cures, nothing really works, and the best is to take good care of the hair you've got.
Can brushing my hair help it grow thicker?
i do not think brushing can help your hair to grow thicker. but you should always brush your hair .otherwise it will create knots in your hair which will ultimately damage your hair.and it is true that if you do not brush your hairs it will cause lack of blood circulation in your scalp which will cause hair fall problems.

Can brushing my hair help it grow thicker?
Stimulating the hair follicles helps the hair grow. You don't have to brush your hair to do it, but it makes it easier.
When your hair is wet, flip your head upside down and GENTLY brush (soft bristle brush) from ends to scalp. When all the tangles are out, brush hair starting at the nape of your neck to the ends. Your scalp will tingle like it's being massaged. By combing/brushing the hair the opposite direction of the growth, it stimulates the follicles.
Brushing your hair now has a benefit. The article? like I mentioned above... the lady stimulated her follicles. The claim of it being half and inch longer in TWO weeks??? Either she has curly hair or exaggeration. There are these little "growth spurts" that happen where the hair grows extremely fast over a matter of hours. Usually, it's just ONE hair. It happened to my eyebrow. Odd thing. Approximately 6 inches per year is the rate of hair growth. There are other suggested ways to grow hair faster, but that's up to you to research and try. Good luck with everything. In the mean time, use L'Oreal Vive Thickening Shampoo. It seems to do a good job. Temporary fix, though.
Can brushing my hair help it grow thicker?
Brush it in the morning and evening
Brushing too much creates the illusion of thinning hair
