What is the best way to blow dry my hair straight?

I've tried like you see on Tv by just dragging the blow dryer after my brush, but its not working, so I am sensing there is more i need to be doing. Help please!

What is the best way to blow dry my hair straight?

Shampoo:

閳?Before getting into the shower, gently brush or finger-comb your hair to loosen up tangles and residue.

閳?Wet hair and pour a small amount of Pantene Smooth %26amp; Sleek Shampoo into your palm.

閳?Rub your hands together and gently massage into the roots using the tips of your fingers. (Careful! Vigorous rubbing can cause strands to break.)

閳?If you wear makeup, pay special attention to the hairline.

閳?Rinse thoroughly with warm water to remove all of the shampoo.

Condition:

閳?Conditioning is key to creating shine and preserving hair health.

閳?After shampooing, carefully remove excess moisture by squeezing your hair with a towel. (Be gentle. Rubbing and twisting with a towel can break the hair.)

閳?Squeeze a small blob of Pantene Smooth %26amp; Sleek Complete Therapy Conditioner on your palm and spread it over your hands, then apply it to your hair.

閳?For super shine, condition the entire strand, starting at the roots.

閳?For volume, condition only the middle and ends of your hair, where it's most susceptible to damage.

Styling:

閳?It's easier to apply styling products to hair that's just damp, so towel off first.

閳?Squeeze a palmful of Pantene Get It Straight Gel or Smooth Down Frizz Control Smoothing Cr鐚玬e into your hands and rub them together.

閳?Distribute the styling formula evenly by "clapping" sections of hair between your flat hands and gently pulling downward.

Blow-dry:

閳?Use the hot setting on all of your hair to accelerate the drying.

閳?When hair is about half dry divide it into sections so you can concentrate the blow dryer and brush on one area.

閳?Use clips to divide the top front and sides, then blow-dry them one at a time using a flat brush (smaller bristles work best). Once the top and sides are finished, you can move to the back.

閳?A flat paddle brush works best. Its wide surface area spreads hair out and keeps it taut, which aids in the straightening process.

閳?Follow the brush with the blow dryer, keeping the blow dryer about five inches away from the hair.

閳?Too much heat can cause damage. Once hair is mostly dry, reduce the heat and add a nozzle. Start from the roots and follow the brush down, keeping the hair taut but not stretched too tightly. The cooler air locks in the style you want.

Set Your Style:

閳?A generous spritz of Pantene Stay Smooth Hairspray Flexible Hold will keep your smooth look in place for hours.

I hope this helps!

I hate blowing my hair because I feel like it just comes out all frizzy (poofed) but, I realized that the little piece you add on to the tip of your blower is a HUGE help. Your brush might be the problem too. Try a big round brush with hard bristles, not the soft ones.

You need to use a large round barrel brush. It does take practice to get good at it, but if you don't have the patience, use a flat iron or hair straightner instead. Conair makes a good one.

First of all, dry your hair in small sections starting from the bottom. Point your dryer straight down so you don't ruff up the hair shaft and get all frizzy. Dry section by section until you get to the crown of your head and if you need to, go through it with a straightener after for added straight-ness!

point the dryer downwards down your hair and comb it. use hairspray to tame waviness/ curliness. dry while its wet!

You're going to want to wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo it will provide extra moisture that will protect your hair from the effects of the blow dryer. After the wash, towel off your hair slightly, just enough to stop the dripping. Separate your hair in to sections. The bigger the section, the longer it will take to dry i reccomend smaller sections becuae you get better results and its more easier. It's best to go for 4-6, but it depends on how much hair you have but make sure nothing is tangled. Use heat protectant. Start blow drying at the top/roots, about six inches away. Maintain this distance throughout, so nothing burns. Work your way down, and remember to move the blow dryer around, again, so nothing burns. NEVER DRY IN AN UPWARDS MOTION! As soon as it feels dry, stop; keep going any longer, and your hair will turn to hay. You should put in a moisturizing hair spray, anti-frizz cream or conditioner after you're finished blow drying, just to quench your hairs' thirst. If it comes out frizzy or puffy which happens to some people when they blow dry their hair you might want to go with a flat iron just go get it flatter and shinier. Then use a shine spray.
