I used a perm to straighten my hair. It backfired BAD! My hair kinked up anyway even though I DID NOT use rollers.? And now it is extremly DRY and its got pretty bad breakage. I went to a stylist and she trimed it up for me. That helped it out but its in dieing neeeedddd of mostiure and repair. Anybody have any suggestions? PLEASE help me.

Go to Sally Beauty, get an Aphogee Protein Treatment, shampoo with the one provided, towel blot dry, then put the treatment in. Get a blow dryer, put it on a low setting with warm air, and blow dry until the treatment is rock hard on your hair. Wash out, and apply the conditioner that is provided. Wash that out and blow dry your hair. You hair should feel really smooth and soft. After this, throw out all hair products that you bought from the drugstore, these a loaded with alcohol and are contributing to the drying of your hair. Start purchasing products at a salon, my fav are the Phyto Organics by Nexxus. They are all organic and have little to no alcohol in their products. Keep up the regular trims, every 6-8 weeks you should get it trimmed.

Infusium 23 is really good. Or you could go to a beauty supply store and buy something that's better. They stock stuff to deal with your situation

If you don't mind spending a little extra money, Aveda Sap Moss is really good. Aveda also has one called Damage Remedy that is good for repairing and strengthening your hair.

First you are never suppose to use a brush when applying a perm. You need a daily moisturizing lotion.
