I keep my brushes at the back door, so when he is taken out and just before coming in, we go thru his coat with the brush. I love my Furminater. Here is Texas we have been getting weird weather. 70's one day, snow the next, so the dogs don't know if they should shed or grow more coat. Nutrition is a big part. A good quality food is best. The faster you get the old dead hair off, the faster the new stuff comes in. I also love my Dyson vacumm.

Diet can be a major factor... get your dog on a super premium food to help. Look for food without corn, wheat or soy.

Adding salmon oil to the diet also helps with fur loss.

If you aren't feeding her a quality food...switch to a better food. No wheat, no corn or no soy. Add Omega 3 fatty acids to her diet....like a fish oil supplement.

Well it might be, depending on where you live, time to shed the winter coat. Help with that would be brushing daily for about a week. Other ways to help would be giving her a bath, there are some shampoos that help with shed control. Brush her before the bath, rub and massage alot during the bath, and then brush again after. This will get a lot of the loose hairs out. If she doens't have a proper diet, that could lead to a bad coat and produce a lot of shedding as well. I've got malamutes who are about to shed their puppy, and winter coats, so shedding is just one thing you deal with as a dog owner. There are other breeds that don't shed as much, you could try looking into that. Hope it helps!

Wrong food. If you have a costco around you try Kirkland food good price and 8 out of 10 people I tell have good success with the dogs coat on it. It is more then not food. ps no human food accept a little fish or fish oil. thats it. Good luck.
