My hair is layered strange, and I can never get it the way I want it. Help?

I got my hair cut over the summer and it still hasn't grown out. My layers are so short that it makes my hair look terrible, and I can't do anything about it. I can't do anything with my hair except brush it in the morning because it won't do anything else. I've tried straightening, curling, putting it in a ponytail, and everything looks like crap. And normally leaving it alone doesn't even look good because the ends will flip in different directions.

Help me!

Same thing happened to me. I can't do anything with mine either except put volumizing mousse in it and blow dry it using a round brush. Try blow drying and use a round brush,maybe you can get a better shape out of it. Find a good salon and have them check your layers to see if they are even cut at the right angle and blended. Hang in there.Your hair will grow out no matter how bad you think it is. Good luck!

The truth is you've tired different styles it seem and your not happy with any of them, your only answer would be to wait until it grows out.

I agree with going to a salon to see if the stylist can help. Most stylist can show you different styles to use with layered hair. I use to work in a salon and I know that some times when you get a new style it takes a LOT of time to get use to it. And it does take awhile for hair to grow out. You most keep up with hair trims to help it grow out. Just have the stylist "trim" the ends. Just to keep it healthy. And ask her or him to show you a style that you can do with it. Ask what products she is using.

It sounds like you don't like it short. But if the layers are messed up, you might want to try going to a salon to get the layers fixed, and ask about diffrent ways to style it.
