My hair is shedding ever since I had my wisdom teeth removed by the oral surgen.?

I had two wisdom teeth removed the middle of July. I had some IV sedation. Anyway about a week or so afterwards I noticed that I was losing some hair in the shower. Everyday since I can run my fingers through my hair and get five or six strands of hair that fall out on top of what is coming out in the shower and the hair brush. I think I can feel "stuble" on my scalp and it is very sensitive now. I have very thick hair so I was not at first alarmed but I have noticed a change in the texture and thickness and now i am worried that it may all fall out. Has this happened to anyone, is it because of my teeth or just a timing.

See a doctor for bloodwork--you may have a vitamin deficiency or something.

Omg thats happening to me..but I just had teeth pulled out and soo much hair is coming out..I was freaking out....yeah i pulled my hair gently and hair strands came out..of course it could be stress

i am guessing the timing....we always are losing hair....just like dogs....we need to make room for new hair. My hair doesn't shed much when its short...but when its long...i would say i lose about 10-20 hairs per shower....but i still have a head full of hair...just dont worry about....if it gets worse...see a doc!

i think it might just be the side affects of ur wisdome teeth coming in, but i think that u shoudl really see a doctor about this.

Viral shedding can happen from 7 days after to three weeks or more. The teeth are a breeding groud for viruses anyhow.

Go see you family doc and ask if he thinks you need treatment.

That happened to me when I got my wisdom teeth removed to. It happens like everytime I get sedated. My doctor said it was normal.

The stuble on your scalp means it's growing back. So I think you are not losing all your hair.
